Dodgers designate Miller, recall Jansen

07/23/2010 - Los Angeles, CA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Los Angeles Dodgers have designated pitcher Justin Miller for assignment and recalled pitcher Kenley Jansen.

The right-hander posted a 4.44 earned run average and no record in 19 relief outings this season.

During his seven seasons in the major leagues with Toronto, Florida, San Francisco and the Dodgers, he has a 24-14 mark with a 4.82 ERA in 216 games, 33 as a starter.

The 22-year-old Jansen, a native of Curacao, was a combined 5-1 with a 1.60 ERA in 33 relief appearances between Single-A Inland Empire and Double-A Chattanooga.
