Rangers welcome back Cruz from DL

Cruz went on the disabled list for the second time this season on May 30 when he strained his left hamstring. He has strained both hamstrings this year and missed a total of 37 games, though the Rangers are 27-10 in his absence.

Despite the injury woes, Cruz has batted .327 with 10 home runs and 34 RBI in 32 games.

To open a spot on the roster, the Rangers optioned outfielder Craig Gentry to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
